1Ensure that you ask for a room away from the construction site (March 2007) - we paid extra for a balcony that turned over to overlook a worksite and were woken early every morning! Staff were friendly, and did supply a few things when asked. Uneven Quality - large rooms, poorly equipped kitchen....

0Great location across the street from Balboa Park, great for early morning walks or runs. The hotel is very well maintained and very helpful staff. They do have a happy hour on the top floor Friday and Saturday nights, but allow hotel guest first shot at the elevator....

1In reading some of the reviews on here, it seems that there are some nice rooms and some not so nice. The beds were comfortable with clean linens, but the rest of the room was falling apart. It's close enough to Balboa Park to catch a free shuttle, but that's the only good thing about it....

2When we walked in the lobby it was full drunk men. When we returned to the lobby we were surprised to find two men making out in the tourist brochure area. I would not say that this hotel is family friendly. Due to our experience in the hotel lobby, we were uncomfortable for the rest of our stay and......

4The location is decidedly not centric: for under-21s like us you do have to walk, buses are scarce, and maybe you can't just walk out and find a huge scene. Yet the hotel was an oasis: the lobby, with its old-world elegance was almost surreal. Check-in was quick but the staff couldn't find us an under-21......

2The bride was dismayed because she had been shown charming rooms when selecting this hotel for her guests. The location was great for tourists -- right across from Balboa Park. The staff was polite and friendly, and there was a lively gay bar on the roof. Some members of our group were dismayed that......

5My wife and I (and 14 month old) stayed at the Park Manor Suites for one week in late June and it lived up to its billing - both good and the "not as good". If you are seeking modern, sleek accommodations - this is not it. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, however they are a bit dated or "tired" and......
