Orlando Metropolitan Express - Orlando, USA 

This is one of the hotels we walked into after checking out of Comfort Inn (universal) Since we had no reservations & they were booked, Metropolitan could only keep us for 3-4 nights. The front desk staff was VERY friendly & courtious. They let us look at a room b4 we checked in. It was VERY clean & rehabbed. What a RELIEF! We had looked at 4 hotels b4 Metropolitan & a couple after. We went back to Metropolitan! We did have problems w/the room key, NO biggie. But after spending half a day looking for a hotel, we were tired & wanted a rest,lol. The only drawbacks were the pool & breakfast. Well ,the break fast was fine. We are just not into muffins & rolls. But that's us! The breakfast will get you fed fine for your day out. The breakfast room is a very nice building & pleasingly decorated. The pool was nice, cept it was VERY deep. I believe the shallow end was still (atleast) 4 feet! So it wasn't very enjoyable for our 8 yr old. FYI- no kiddie pool. We also did some laundry there, washer/dryers could use updating. But we got our clothes washed fine enough. Overall we were very pleased. We are planning our next vacation & will definately consider Metropolitan as one of our hotel choices! Thank you Metropolitan for a pleasant stay!

Stayed for 2 weeks had been worried after reading some reviews but shouldn't have. A great little hotel fab location near Wet & Wild, shops and restaraunts. On arrival met by lovely friendly staff on reception. Problem with our rooms in that there was only 1 booked instead of 2 but this was soon sorted. Reception clean and welcoming free coffee and tea 24 hours a day, large TVs tuned to news channel. Rooms usual, 2 double beds large TV enough storage very clean. Coffee maker in room even though we were not pool facing and at end near to traffic noise was not a problem. For extra $10 per day could have a room with fridge and microwave but managed OK without. Room cleaned everyday by friendly staff who chatted and asked after us. Free breakfast everyday served between 6.30 and 9.30 cereal, toast, bagels, muffins danish Tea Coffee and juice just right to set you up for day. Pool open 10 - 10 nice pool would like it to have been opened earlier for early swim but this is our only critisism of a great hotel. Would deffinatly stay here again.
