International Plaza Resort & Spa  - Orlando, USA 

Staying at the International Plaza was a wonderful experience. We booked online through Expedia and initially had a room in the tower. After reading reviews, I decided to ask if we could have a new room when we were checking in. Laura, the wonderful woman at the front desk switched it up for us. We had to wait a little bit (half hour) for the room to finish being cleaned but it was worth the wait. We stayed in building 9 and the room was beautiful. The pools are great, and the hot tub is actually hot (which I loved even though Florida was cooking.) My only negative experience was the breakfast. The buffet cost $12.95 and it wasn't even very good. The food was cold and somehow the total for 2 of us came to 33 dollars (drinks were supposed to be included in the 12.95.) They charged a mandatory 18% gratuity and the service was terrible. Needless to say, we only had breakfast at the restaurant once. Max's deli, also on the resort had some yummy and cheap breakfast sandwiches. Overall, the staff was amazing, the resort was very well kept, and it was quite convienent for all the hopping about we did. I recommend the I-Ride Trolley that goes along International drive for anyone looking to shop. :)

Last minute, stayed here 1st two weeks of July, myself, husband, 16 year old daughter and her best friend, had two rooms in the tower. Found it clean, same as most hotel rooms, two beds, tv, bathroom etc. Beautiful grounds, plenty of room even though there was some renovations going on around it never caused a problem. We had some meals in the hotel, not over priced, cheaper across the road if wanted. Staff very helpful. We needed the 'business centre' for emails etc and found them a great help. Where the hotel is sited is quiet enough without being isolated and without being in the hustle and bustle of International Drive, which can be a bit noisy. They have a shuttle service to Disney and Universal, used it a little and found it reliable. As we like to try different hotels each time we go we would probably book elsewhere but would definately recommend it as it's not expensive and it's good value for money. Oh and try the hot chocolate in the Deli!!!
