Palomino Suites Lake Buena Vista - Orlando, USA     

My husband, me and our 2 kids just returned from a wonderful stay at Palomino Suites in January 2007. The 1BR suite had every convenience we needed; a kitchen with full size fridge, microwave, dishwasher; sitting area with TV. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The hotel is conveniently located in the Downtown Disney area, right outside the Hotel Plaza Boulevard hotels. There are grocery stores and numerous restaurants (fast food and sit down) close by. Instead of eating out every night, we saved money by buying groceries at Winn Dixie and ordering from Pizza Hut. There is also a nice hot tub and pool outside. We paid $100/nite, including all taxes and resort fee. Minor areas of improvement: Our room had a musty odor whenever we first enter; maybe needs deep carpet shampoo. The toilet flush could have been stronger; ours got stuck twice. The guest computer which normally offers internet access was down the entire week of our stay. Bottom Line: Highly recommended, especially for families.

My husband, 6 year old son and I stayed here for 1 week from 7th Decmber as part of a 3 week trip to Orlando. (2nd week Homewood Suites Universal and 3rd week Disneys Fort Wilderness.) We had stayed in September 2005 when it was still a Hilton Homewood Suites. The only thing that has changed since then is that the breakfast does not have as much choice and they no longer have a Managers Reception. Apart from that everything is the same. The rooms are very spacious and it makes a real difference having a separate living room and kitchen. Housekeeping was excellent. The thing I love about this place is that it is so quiet. We never heard a sound from anywhere once we were in our room. Also the location is excellent, literally a 5 minute drive from Downtown Disney and very convenient for all the Disney Parks. They also run a very efficient shuttle to Epcot leaving at 07.50am, 10am and midday returning at 6pm, 8pm and 10pm. I would however recommend a car for added convenience. There are lots of restaurants nearby. We paid $79 a night. Had originally booked a $89 a night but a few days before we left the price was reduced so we simply cancelled and rebooked, saving $70 int he process. All in all would highly recommend to anyone who is visiting the Disney Parks and will definitely stay again.
