We booked this on asiarooms.com and absolutely loved our stay here. We were 4 American college students (in 2 rooms) on Thanksgiving Break and couldn't have asked for anything more. The location was unbeatable, the rooms were gorgeous, and the staff was incredibly friendly and spoke perfect English. The breakfast was absolutely delicious with lots of fruit, meat, breads, cereals, juices, you name it ... a fantastic change to our previous European meals of just bread and meat. The beds were very comfortable and the bathrooms were very clean. Would absolutely stay here again!

1. Listed on the travel website as 'airport' but no shuttle service to and from airport. So, no, not at airport and don't count on returning your rental car the night before thinking you can take a shuttle and not worry about that part the next day. Nice looking hotel. Advertise pool but shallowest end is 4 feet deep at the bottom of the stairs. Much more an adult hotel or conference hotel as rooms are 'nice' and bathrooms are not standard looking but more upscale sink and vanity area. But, like another, I was charged extra fees and even though I gave a credit card for my dinner at the in-hotel bar and grille area, on my checkout form the next day, was a charge for the same food and drink as well as an $11.00 fee for the 'amenities'. Of the 3 hotels I stayed at on this trip, none of the others had a separate fee that wasn't already included in my travel rate. Room also had an annoying hum from the mini-fridge and a very annoying rattle in the ceiling due to the air conditioner. Front staff polite but in house restaurant over-taxed on night that was there.

The Florida Hotel is located at one end of the Florida Mall in Orlando. The room was comfortable, clean and good sized. I was there for a convention, so I did not require a lot of amenities. Room service was good, and the servers were all polite and helpful. The front desk was well staffed, but the check-in time of 4 PM was inconveniently late. I had to store my bags, as the convention workshops started much earlier than that. There is no sundries shop in the hotel, as you presumably could shop in the mall, if you noticed you needed something before it closed at 9 PM. There is a little "Grab and Go" shop that has approximately one toothbrush and one ballpoint pen. The room was nicely quiet during the night, but there were spotlights that were trained on the windows from the ground, that lit the room up like daylight if you didn't close the drapes carefully. The room cost was quite high, but through the online company I got a better price than my cohorts at the convention. This was my second convention stay at the Florida Hotel. It was a pleasant experience.

Upon check in i was given a card that said that there was going to a fee of $5.00 for hotel stuff. Stuff I wasn't nor did i use. When checking out I was charged $7.50, When i asked at the desk they said oh that was last years card and fee, we haven't updated the cards to reflect the new fees. They would not do any thing about it, Bad customer service. That night we ordered a movie for kids, The screen said $12.99. When checking out our bill was for $14.99, When i questioned the difference the guy said ok i will change that for you. Sounds like a scam to me?...... On top of all this I already put $30.00 on the counter to cover the charges, the guy looks at the money and says ok here is your receipt and your all set. Oh you want to pay cash? i filled out a comment card reguarding the matters and requested a response back from the manager and I still have not received any response. Check your bill very carefully so you don't fall prey to the overcharging scams this hotels loves to do. The rooms were a bit smaller then what i am used to but very clean. Excellent tv's, but were a little to soft for my likings. i personally won't stay here again, but that doesn't mean you don't have to. Just be careful.
