Sporting Lodge Inns - Bradford, United Kingdom     

Stayed here for two nights. I saw the hotel online and booked because of the cheap rate and the amenities. Upon arriving I was struck by the bad smell in the corridors and the old run down state of the building. My room was big but the door was broken and you had to lift it up to get it to close. The tv had no remote and the shower had some strange discharge. Basically dont go here if you want a nice hotel or even just an ok one! The staff were friendly though !

Karen my parner and I make frequent trips back to Yorkshire and thought we would have a change from our usual haunt just to be nearer my sons home for socialising purposes. The Sporting Inn looked ok from the outside but once inside it showed a different story. Firstly were were overcharged by ?20 but got a refund on that then we wetre directed to the room Once through the residents only doors we encountered all upstairs dirty laundy t being thrown down between the stairs landing on the floor and the drinks machines. Found our room and the door stuck solidly and a police syle forced entry was needed to gain access ( I should know im a copper myself) Nice and spacious poor wardrobe space dingy bathroom with mould on the tiles but Kared rated the shower 10 out of ten for heat and power. loads of hot water tv poor picture remote did not work awful view from the large picture windows no radio but never mind you pay for what you get. Went for breakfast on the first day helpful waitress the food could have been warmer, cold the cups were filthy raided surrounding tables to eventually find 2 clean ones!! The leisure facilities were next door and basically good but dont hang around in the changing rooms the drains smell awful. Breakfast day two glad it was the last one No orange juice no plates no bread butter no for toast dirty cups again and comments from other guests. The food that was there was awful though the waitress was helpful and got replacements brought out from the kitchens. I appreciate the fact thats its cheap and cheerful well not so cheerful It was clean and a little noisy in the early hours but I would recommend that you pay a few pounds more and stay elswere
