Let me start by admitting my mistake when I booked this property by first checking them out on the Internet and then calling them directly to book the advance-purchase non-refundable room. During all that process, I was under the impression that I was booking a property near Downtown Disney not realizing that hotel was located in Orlando downtown area. Need an eye checkup…
Property was OK. Staff was attentive and courteous. The atmosphere however; was dull and almost boring. We (my wife and I with 6-years-old-son) stayed in a king size bed with a sofa bed located on the 15th-floor concierge level. We had the swimming pool view which is located down on the 6th floor. Room was bit cramped and furniture worn-out. Room doesn't have a flat-screen wall-mounted TV but an old analog machine. Bathroom was clean but very ordinary. The bathroom amenities were three small bottles and single a sink. The shower did have two showerheads however; water-pressure was pretty weak. Friday night, they had a fashion show thus; pool usage was restricted to staying guests. People were smoking virtually everywhere.
One of the perks of being on the “concierge” leave was usage of the exclusive lounge which servers breakfast and happy hours in the evening. The breakfast was pretty pathetic with fresh fruits, cereals, muffins and pancakes. There were no eggs and conventional bread. It was the same on Friday thru Sunday. We did go to the pool area and my son swam. He was happy. For grownups however; the pool is rather small, and less than 4 feet deep which doesn’t provide true swimming pleasure. Saturday night, the smoke alarm in our room went off. We all got up and left the room thinking that alarm was going off everywhere. We then returned and I called the front desk who sent a maintenance staff along with 2 security guards. The guy replaced the bettery and everyone apologized for the inconvenience. Stuff happens so no big deal...
To end my review, I would say that it’s not a 4-star property and for the money one pays can do better in Orlando in a much better location. Sorry Grand Bohemian: we are not coming back…

Living in Orlando already, we obviously do not utilize the local hotels for over night stays. However, for our wedding night, we wanted to stay close to our reception site. Co-workers had purchased us a suite at the Boheme which was appropriate since we had our first date at the hotel in the Bosendorfer lounge, which we still frequent (great jazz). The suite was georgous! Most importantly though, the staff reminded you that customer service, although hard to come by these days, is still existant and makes people feel really special. We felt like everyone went the extra mile! Our guest that stayed at the hotel were as equally impressed. It was the perfect end to our perfect evening.
