I spent two weeks in this hotel and I must tell you, the owner Amy is very rude. She is under the impression that she can yell at her guests. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. I have a child and there are tons of drugs and hookers staying at this hotel. I imformed Amy of the situation and she did not seem disturbed at all. My air conditioner went out the first night I spent there and she would not have it fixed for me. She does things when it is conveniant for her and not her guests. The staff will enter your room whenever they want. I had two laptops come up missing out of my room. Amy has came in there when I was sleeping to inspect my room. She does not run the hotel as if it is a hotel, she treats everyone like they are beneath her. My wife is pregnant and has not had the chance yet to purchase maternity clothes and Amy would not let her wear lose fitting pajama pants outside, not even at night. So my only advice to anyone reading this is if you have the chance take your business elsewhere. The rooms are tiny and smell. Goodluck, and tell Amy that she is a horrible person.

The property was in poor shape. There was no one on duty - a sign said to call the 800 number for late check-in. The 800 number sign said not to call after 9:00 p.m. The online travel agency told us they would contact the hotel and arrange the late check-in. We never heard from them. When I called the online travel agency to get our money back, we got the run around.

The hotel was very clean and charming, with the Post Office museum downstairs and the period furniture upstairs. The bed was super comfortable - usually when I'm on a road trip, after a five hour drive and a late arrival (1am) I would be exhausted the next morning, but I rested so well in that comfy bed that I felt great in the morning.

Stayed at this hotel overnight because we were visiting nearby Cassadaga. I'd happily stay there again the next time I'm in town.
