Pool area very nice and the cost was good. I hop was there so you could eat breakfast Now the rooms need better coffee pots the one that was in my room sucked, i also liked the fact that there were a restaurant next to the main interence that I didn't have to drive nowhere to get something to eat. . We arrived in Claremont and had reserved our stay at the Howard Johnson express. That was disgusting, and dirty. Their lobby is fancy with ornate touches, etc. HOWEVER, the rooms are filthy. There was even a cup with water and cigarette butts in it. There was a fabric covered chair that looked as if they found it and threw the dirty thing inside the room, man o man it was bad. We decided to try Americas Best Value since this was a quick business stay and funds were low. Yes, you get what you pay for, but clean is all we were looking for. ABV motel may be old and not much to ever remember, but the room was clean and the staff (Nicole and Vickie) were warm, personable, and demonstrated a drive to satisfy their customers. If your funds are low and all you want is a clean place to stay, then I would recommend this place in a heart beat. Oh and for me this was also a plus, free internet DSL. Something howard j did not even have a clue of what it was when I asked.
