I found the hotel pleasant, clean and safe. A very pleasant surprise. We had an issue with the television in our room. It was replaced within six minutes of notifying the front desk. The only change I would suggest is providing a small bottle of dish detergent to guests staying a week or more. It's just not something you think to bring with you.

Universal Orlando

I took three high school graduates with me to this hotel. We were visiting Universal Studios in Orlando. The hotel is just down the street from the park, could have walked, but it would be a LONG walk and it was very hot in the city. This is NOT a full service hotel. There is no room service or housekeeping during your stay. You can take your dirty/wet towels to the front desk daily and they will replace them with clean ones. The rooms come with a stove, microwave, coffee maker and full size refrigerator. All were in working condition. The cabinets were stocked with just one frying pan though, to cook with. There should be a pot to boil water or make soup in too....but that is the only complaint I have. We ate our breakfast in the room and most of our dinners too. Saved a lot of money because restaurants are not cheap in Orlando unless you do fast food. Rooms were very clean, but carpet was very old. However, while we were there, they were redoing the carpet in the hall way, so I imagine they will get to the rooms too, when they are vacated. Bed was a bit stiff for me, but the kids liked them.

The room was in close proximity of universal. the bed was a little too firm for our liking. I will probably stay in another motel in the same area next time.

EXTENDED STAY........NO WAY!!!!!!!!

Wow, what a ripoff!!!! My girlfriend and I were on a budget but what we got for our money was closer to a really crappy hotel in the middle east somewhere. First of all would it kill them to have a small bottle of shampoo/conditioner and soap at least for the first week!!! Then the bed was pathetic!!!!! Our pillows were like two pillow cases filled with tissue paper. I havent seen anything so limp and flat since.......well you get the point!!!! The fitted sheets were just a really old sheet that would come off covering the mattris as soon as you laid in bed....PATHETIC!!!!! Finally the A/C sounded like a twin engine plane about to take off as soon as you turned it on!!!! I am the owner of a online travel agency and I plan on making it crystal clear to everyone and anyone that EXTENDED STAY AMERICA was a huge, disappointing, unpleasant experience!!!!

Great service but kind of small

The customer service was great. However, rooms smaller than they say and do not have enough dishwares for 4 people. We rented a room for 4 and got service items for 2. Convenient location though. Major Blvd. at one end goes right into entrance of Universal Studios. Would recommend but if you have party of 4, you may want to stay at a larger establishment.
