We are owners at Marriott's Grande Vista, a true 5-star resort. We've been to Orlando several times and decided to try a different resort. That's where we made our mistake. Liki Tiki is run down, old, dirty and grimy. Low class guests abound. The "waterpark" is small and always crowded. My 9 yr old wasn't thrilled and my 6 and 2 yr old had a good time. My husband and I were miserable. We had an incident when a group of young guests tried to steal my son's swimming goggles, even though my son was yelling at them not to take them, I had to run after them to get them back! The only positive was that the front desk was accomodating to our requests. When we first checked in they were going to put us in one of the old villas. I had called 6 months in advance requesting a new unit. They were completetly booked but the rep managed to get us into a 2BR unite in the new 1200 building. The room was fine, except for the stench of cigarette smoke coming from the adjoining studio. It's a sham, this is not a 5 star resort. Don't waste your time.
