It was a really nice hotel. It is an old hotel so the hallways, elevators and the rooms are a little on the small side. I would stay there again. The location is great. Not too far walking distance from anything.

This was our first overnight stay in NYC. Upon check in we were upgraded to a suite on the 17th floor at no extra charge. Our room was clean, larger than expected and tastefully decorated. We even had a jetted tub that was not in the room description, but a welcome surprise. The bath was all marble tile. The staff was friendly, professional and extremely helpful to us. At the time of our stay (late January 2009) the hotel was being upgraded, so when we returned after an evening of dinner and the theatre the lobby was full of brand new mattresses that were being delivered. The staff was extremely apologetic, but my husband and I totally understood....they've got to get deliveries sometime...why not in the middle of the night when guests will probably be sleeping and the lobby will be empty? Made sense to us. We would stay again without hesitation.

My son and I stayed at the hotel during the Thanksgiving holidays and enjoyed it. The staff was profesional and friendly, the room was small, but clean and comfortable. No complaints, would definately stay again. The bed was a Tempurpedic bed and it was very comfortable.

This is the worst stay in my life. They charge for Valet Parking $45 and Wireless $14 to $15 per day even their website says they are available and included. Business Ethics is ZERO over here. They charge for everything. My 2 day stays are around $* Extra Pillows and Towels are not provided when requested in my confirmation. Mgmt. Barbara at the front desk seems that she does not read her e-mails or does not know how to read her e-mail. Website says that Vallet Parket and Wireless Internet are available. " NYC Parking Package Rate includes guest room accommodation and Valet Parking (In/Out Privilege not included) When you are in town to see New York City attractions, the last thing you want to do is spend time looking for parking. Let us make travelling to New York City a little easier. Just drive right up to the front of the hotel on 42nd Street and your car will be valet parked in a secure garage for the duration of your stay, leaving you free for New York City sightseeing. Valet parking (In/Out Privilege? Guest room accommodations ?Package includes: not included) " " Wired or wireless high-speed Internet access helps you get your work done so you can relax and enjoy the comfort of your room. The Superior Queen Rooms have all the delights of our Standard Rooms with a luxurious queen-sized bed in which you can rejuvenate and start the day afresh! Smoking rooms may be arranged upon request and availability. "

Midtown Manhanttan at an Affordable Cost

The Tudor Hotel is located 1 block from the United Nations in midtown Manhattan. It's also conveniently located 2 1/2 - 3 blocks from Grand Central Station and 7 blocks from Times Square. For the time sensitive travel, during rush hour, in a taxi, it took about 30 minutes to get from LaGuardia to the hotel and on early Sunday morning only about 20 minutes. The room was simple but adequate and very clean. It was a very quiet hotel, you couldn't hear any traffic noise from your room. I've stayed in several other hotels in Manhattan and could hear traffic from the street below. I would recommend this hotel to friends and family.
