first night, we were given a very small room w/ everything small including the bathroom and we found five cockroaches in the room. second day they offered a bigger room for $150 dollars more for 5 more nights of stay, we agreed because they said we can't refund our money anymore( we paid the total 7 nights of stay already). third night, the housekeeper left our room door open and the engineering department had the nerve to tell us we had to make sure that the door was closed when we leave, we told him that when we left, the room was not clean and when we found the door open, the room was tidied by the housekeeper, so case closed, it was their fault. we used to live in new york and know how scary it is to leave our doors open!!!! fourth night, we came home with the exhaust in the bathroom turned on by hotel staff (?housekeeping?) w/ a lot of dripping from the ceiling. we turned off the exhaust and sure enough, the leak was so smelly and when i looked in the bathtub, it was yellowish, looked like urine... that was it, we checked out! still they are refusing to refund our money, and the lady receptionist told me that w/ the price we were paying, we won't find a hotel that price in new york, she just did not know that before i even talked to her, i already booked at holiday inn at a cheaper price that they offered w/c was btw, imperial court charged us $1842 for 7 nights plus the $150 extra for the room upgrade. also when we were complaining we felt that the front desk made us feel that we were a nuisance for complaining how stinky their hotel was. the only reason we stayed was they told us that they were gonna charge us the full amount even though we checked out. nasty, nasty, nasty hotel! i hope no one checks in this hotel again, it is a hotel from hell!!!!
