Horrible
Do Not Stay Here

This is the worst hotel we have ever stayed at. No matter what the price is, DON'T STAY! Right after checking in we go to the room and find 3 giant roaches, 4 inches! NO JOKE and they fly right at you. As we tried to pick up our suitcase to get out of the room, one of the roaches flew right at us! We complained and they moved us to another room, but it was no better... the whole hotel slants and the hallways are slanted. Our bathroom was slanting so badly you could not close the door. The bathroom window did not close because the building is lopsided. The rooms are filthy and it is not worth any price to stay here. AVOID THIS PLACE. This hotel should be condemned. On one of the nights coming in for the evening, there were more 4 in. roaches in the hall flying around. Very scary. We slept with the lights on for fear of the roaches coming out and crawling on us at night.

Don't go there!

Me and my best friend went there for a weekend for her 21st birthday. We got to our room and it was so small and cold. It was cold because there was tape all over the window holding the air conditioner in place ad cardboard taped in spots. It was freezing. There was a doorway from the bedroom are into the sitting room. The bed was not comfortable but I will admit that the pillows were. There was no heat in the room. They had space heaters in the rooms. The bathroom was horrible. The floor of the very small and dark shower stall was black it was dirty. The staff was very nice. They were very helpful and moved me and my friend to anither room. This room wasn't much better but it was definatley nicer than the first one. I would not stay here. It is old and dirty. The elevator is a small little old fashioned elevator that smells and is very small. Avoid this place at all costs.

"Christmas in New York"

My husband and I decided this year for Christmas we would do something we had never done before, go shopping in New York City. We were a little frustrated at first because after researching the internet for a hotel, we thought we were going to have to pay an exorborant amount. But we actually got a really good deal right in the heart of the city. We stayed at the Regency Inn and Suites at 34th and 8th Avenue ($152/night). Although it's not the most luxurious hotel, it was clean and in an excellent location. The Subway was right across the street and we could walk to a lot of the attractions such as The Empire State Building, Time Square, Rockefeller Center and of course the beautifully decorated Macy's. We took the subway to chinatown to find the real bargains. WOW!! What an awesome experience. Since we were there to shop, we were intriqued by the street vendors selling anything and everything you could imagine. We made our way from shop to shop and had a delicious lunch at an authentic Chinese restaurant. It was costly, $50 for lunch but it was well worth it. There is one bit of advice that I would highly recommend, do not drive into the city. I thought I was going to have a heart attack between the tunnel and our hotel. If I were able to do it again, I would fly into the City and take a taxi to the hotel. Besides the traffic, it can cost up to $50/day for parking at the hotels. So be wise and fly. Hope you enjoyed the blog as much as we enjoyed the trip.

This was my first time visiting NYC, I had more than a great time staying at the Regency Inn and Suites 34th street. The staff was friendly and very helpful. The hotel / rooms were excellent; very clean, smeeled good, fresh towels & sheets. The breakfast was also fantastic. The hotel is in a great location which made it very easy for us to get around and back to the hotel. I will recommend the hotel to all friends and family.
