4Instead of a studioroom we received upon arrival a suite with a separate sittingroom, a small kitchen area, a bedroom with two beds, and a very small but clean bathroom. This was very convenient and comfortabel to us, althoug the view was not very much appealing, the bedroom view was obstructed by a stonewall, but had a second (flatscreen) tv and was very quite. We had free internet in the room, a coffeemaker and a small, very slow cooking unit, a fridge, and some tableware. We feeled happy with it.
The hotellobby is in fact much too small for the number of rooms, but we never used the lobby, while the hotel was close to many attractions, restaurants, deli's and Starbucks to sit down and rest, also very nearby a busstation and Central Station, it was very easy to go anywhere you like, for example to the ferry and cruiseboats, Times Square and within walking distance of Macy's. The service in the hotel is good, friendly and cooperative. If we go to NYC again, we will choose this old but cosy hotel again, because it is hard to find a similar decent priced hotel in this area, NYC is an very expensive place to stay.
