The prices are ok in the web page, but they should tell about the taxes. If they tell you about order a taxi at the hotel say no because the price is higher and you can find a taxi at the door.

I went to NY for the first time with my 2 best friends to celebrate my B-day. The hotel room was fine, though the bathroom was kind of small. It wasn't a big deal for us, since we were barely in the room anyways. There are no elevators, so excessive packers, watch out!! :) On the plus side, the hotel staff was VERY friendly, and they were there on the spot every time we needed help with our luggage. There is a subway stop right across the street, which was incredibly convenient for us.

Ok room, but with some major faults. - The shower was small and had only fixed showerhead. - The water in the shower was as median warm enought, but it ocillated between hot and cold. - The TV set remote control didn't work. Even after 3 complains to the reception in 3 days, they wasn't able to fix it. The told us that they would send someone to fix it, but that never happend. The probable fix was to replace the batteries. This made the TV-set pretty unuseable, having to change channels on the TV itself, and not being able to use the internet/hotel-TV services.

I've read a lot of bad reviews before getting there and I have to say I was quite worried. After being there I can confirm that the place has been totally renewed, the rooms are very clean and the position is perfect. A good plus is the subway stop and a starbucks coffee just outside, not to mention internet in the lobby. It is true there's no elevator and the stairs are pretty narrow (I had my room on the 3rd floor) but I never had to carry my baggages up and down as the staff will take care of that! The rooms are pretty small (sometimes with no closet) but most importantly are clean and the bed is really comfortable. You can get a much better place in any other country or city for that price, but believe me if I say that in Manhattan it's the best deal you can get! So I definitely reccommend it.
