Okay
Great place for the price and location

I have stayed here 4 times in the past two years. Room and bathroom are always immaculate, bed is comfortable. Staff is pleasant and gave me a free upgrade on two occasions. Elevator is slow and there is no food. TV has only local channels. For the price and the location, it's a great place to stay!

We stayed there on a Thursday night. We got there late after a Yankee game. It was a very clean room (bad View). The Bathroom was very nice. We had cable. The bellman was very helpful finding us parking that late at night. The only thing that I could complain about was the smallness of the Elevator. Everything else was great, if your going to NY for the Hotel this is not the place for you, but if your looking to get some sleep then go see the sights this is a great place to stay.

Okay
Hotel was not great, but the location was!

We stayed at the Days Inn and I knew from the frist call to the hotel they would be rude. I called to get info about a shuttle and the lady did not even give me a chance to offer to pay. She asked me how many people were with me. When I told her two, she said no and hung up. We took a cab from the airport to the hotel! The rooms were small but clean. We only used the hotel to lay our heads. The hotel gets repeat visitors because of the ideal location. The 96th street subway station is roght on the corner, tons of food places around to get reasonable eats (Cafe Con Leche has great happy hour drinks, 2 for o1 specials and the Europena bakery is open 24 hours and serves great Everything for under 5 bucks) What the hotel lacks in ammenities (you have to pay for the internet) it makes up for in price and location. Central park is minutes away, Columbia Univ. is down the street and we loved eberything about the area. Suggestions, use the hotel to sleep and bathe and you can avoid the rude workers. Keep your doors locked as they do not check the ID of people coming in and out of the hotel, and use public transportation! We would stay here again! Beds are small!

Good: Close to Central Park and subway. Nice Cafe around corner on Broadway. Bad: Heater didn't work, knob fell off in shower, one of the four elevators broke down, 4 to 5 people tops in elevators, small rooms, noisy
