We booked this hotel on their own website and got a great late deal, just two days prior to staying for one Saturday night, ?69 for a room that would sleep 2 adults & 2 children. We arrived at around 6pm and had already read that the car-park was limited. Initially disappointed when we saw the 'full' sign on the entrance to the car-park, we drove around the block to try and find somewhere else to park. Upon our return just 15mins or so later, the 'full' had gone and there was a single space which I squeezed into. There is around 8 spaces outside the front entrance and 20-25 more underground. Once full, you may get lucky like we did and have someone leave. Booking in was a pleasure. The recepctionist was very helpful. When asked about the car-park and whether we could reserve our space if we had to use the car, he said that it was first come first served...but then he said that he we returned at the time he was due to knock off shift, he would let us have his place in the car park - very helpful! Room was clean, spacious and modern. Fantastic shower with a walk in double-sized cubicle with overhead large circular shower head as well as the usual wall-mounted one. Tea and coffee making, hair dryer, iron, internet Tv etc etc. After getting some recommendations of restaurants and bars from the staff, and a copy of the town map, we found our way to an excellent Turkish Restaurant in London Road called Zeugma. It was about 15-20mins walk from the hotel. Back to the hotel and sleeping was no problem in the Queen sized bed. Breakfast the next morning was being served until 12 noon at the weekends - great for those hung-over or otherwise worse-for-wear the morning after. In any case, was were there at 9am - and not disappointed! Hot selection of sausage, bacon, egg, rosti's, beans, mushrooms was all fresh and regularly replenished. Juices, fresh-fruit, toast, pastries and croissants, preserves, cheeses, hams, yogurts, and tea/coffee served to your table. Waiting staff were friendly and courteous. We did not use the leisure facilities or bar at the hotel. But they looked impressive enough and the other guests seemed to be enjoying these amenities. Overall, another great stay at a modernised Novotel. Seems to be becoming a trend.....

Standard Novotel. Say no more really. Comfy bed, TV, kettle, toilet. What else do you really need for an overnight stay? Restaurant was fine as we were the only diners at 6pm. A little over priced, but we couldn't really be bothered with looking for somewhere else to eat.
