I stayed here last October and the experience was fine. So I did not hesitate to return. This time, my wife and I stayed and we had a small room with one bed. It was adequate and my wife remarked that the bed was very comfortable although it didn't seem to have a full fledge comforter or spread. It was more like a half comforter. The problem was resolved by turning the heat up to keep warm. Breakfast was as expected: continental with beverages, toast, bagel, danish, fruit and cereal. Somebody left a large note in the food pantry area pleading for a real breakfast. If you expected eggs, bacon, french toast, etc., they don't have it. It was as advertised. We spent maybe 13 hours total at the hotel and it was fine for our needs. I took advantage of the wi-fi internet access. One downside was that the noise from the Thruway seemed louder this time. I was on the backside where the noise level should have been lower, but there was a steady humm as vehicles went over a nearby overpass. Overall, can't beat the AARP special price $*including tax. A great value if you do not require AAA status.

We stayed here four nights. The hotel was fairly new and clean. The location was great with lots of retail nearby and access to the throughway and highways. The only downside, was the maid service was poor. When we checked in, the room we were given had not been cleaned. We got another room which was suitable, but the maid service while we were staying was intermittent. One day the room would be cleaned, another day we would have to take the trash out and clean our room ourselves. This hotel is great value, and we'd probably stay there again.

My son and I were in town to look at several colleges. We arrived about 9:30 PM and left the next morning about 8:30 AM. Our stay was brief, but the room was clean, the TV work, the beds were comfortable, and the breakfast was fine (Bagels, muffins, fruit, creal and beverages). Only complaint was that we were facing the Thruway and were less than 150 feet from the constant humming noise of traffic. After 5 minutes, you became use to it and it didn't disturb us. The shower/tub was OK, but it will need upgrading soon as there was some flex in the bottom of it. I had once stayed at another Microtel and the room was very small. I understand that has been true with older Microtels in the past, but this room seemed closer to a standard size. With two people, that was not a problem. I had looked for other hotels in the area and everthing else was $1*+. I paid $*+ tax. This place is relatively new, clean, right off the Thruway for convenience and there were several restaurants within walking distance (5 minutes or less) although we did not go to any of them. Front desk was helpful, especially when there was a minor problem with verifying the pre-payment via a credit card. One interesting feature was the built in drawes to the wall. This saved space. There was also a cushion in the window so that you could sit on it or a small child could use it as a bed for a 5th person in the room.
