"Excellent location & comfortable"

My husband and I had a great stay. The location is excellent, with easy access to the subway and easily walking distance to Broadway, Times Square etc, and across the street from Central Park. I had read previous reviews (about bad bathrooms etc) so I asked for a room on the 12th floor which has been renovated. I also asked for a room with a view of Central Park. The guy behind the desk was really nice and he found me a room that was perfect. Usually it costs more (apparently) to stay on the renovated floors, but he upgraded me for free. Awesome! Our room (1201) was quite generous in size and had a view of the city and the park if you looked out the window to the left. Beds were comfy enough and sheets changed daily. The bathrooms were brilliant. Each was a seperate, lockable, shower, sink and toilet. They were clean and no problem at all. The hallways on the 12th floor are carpet so it wasn't too noisy (other floors had lino). Our friends stayed there to, but were put on 11th floor, which was quite bad (terrible blocked bathrooms etc). So if you can, stay on the 12th floor!!!!! Oh, and easy access to JFK airport. Take the subway at Columbus Circle (2 min walk) and it takes you straight there (via the A line) where you connect with the Air Train. All up it cost $7 each ($2 subway, $5 air train).

Great place and location!! If you are looking for a comfortable place to stay, nice and friendly staff, this is your hostel!! Food is great, we didn?t experience any noise at night. We got up very early in the morning and walked the city! gym is very well equiped and pools are clean and safe. Members are friendly, location is perfect! I totally recommend this place and will go back to new york soon!! what a great city!!
