This Youth Hostel is about 15 blocks away from everything and for the money this is a great deal, especially as you get your own clean private room.

The staff was great and the restrooms ,baths were very clean. Only thing I didnt like were the sheets on the bed ,you need some new bedspreads, but besides this everthing was nice, and I would stay again!

Overbooked

Arrived at the hotel at midnight only to be told the hotel "was overbooked" and handed an envelope with cab fare to another YMCA. While an apology was offered I was told my entire 4 night stay would have to be at another Y. Only after I pressed the front desk to find another solution did the hotel provide a room for the first night and then I had to check out in the morning and return later in the afternoon the following day to see if a room was available which it was. I was told that there are problems with the booking agency the Y uses. I've stayed at this place numerous times and love the location but be aware you may not be staying where you think you are.

"Excellent for Animal Lovers"

I love animals, especially rodents, so imagine how pleased I was when I stepped out of my room at the Y and was confronted by a rat the size of a German Shepard. It was walking towards me with eyes like steel ball-bearings and I swear it had a smirk on its face. Anyway, great place for animal lovers.
