I spent only one night at the Pyrtania Park, but found the property very pleasant. It has an old world feel to the winding stairs and corridors-the restored brick in the room completed the feeling that I was in a New Orleans of another time. The two ladies at the desk were very helpful and provided great direcrtions for a lost out-of-towner in the big city. Before long, I was walking about the French Quarter like a native. The price was very reasonable and I consider it a great value-Hope to visit again..MF Foster

I was on my way the the beach one night to Ft. Walton Beach, FL, too tired to drive and then i notice this place on the right side of the road. The staff was as good as 5 star hotel staff. Loved the security camera monitor at the front desk showing all the camera shots, made me feel at ease. Quite place and very good lighting outside and inside, the 37 inch TV was great and loved the granite counters / shower. Breakfast was great with the Ziglers sausage biscuits and the lovely lady at the front desk helped me make my waffle.

My family and I are always taking road trips. We were on our way to Destin when I could not drive anymore. We came across the hotel on the highway and decided to stop in. It's a brand new hotel and appeared nice, but I guess looks can be deceiving. We got into the room and the sheets were dirty and obviously not washed!! When we asked the front desk for another room, they lady was extremely rude and denied that the sheets would be dirty. Needless to say we did not want to deal with that after a long drive.

I had to go back to Opp for a funeral and I thought I would try the new hotel on the bypass because it was new. When I checked in, I couldn't believe something this nice was in Opp. The motel is on a hill overlooking the bypass but it is very quiet and peaceful. There are only two ways into the motel, the lobby and the side, but you have to have your room key to get in on the side. My parents came to pick me up to go to dinner afterwards and they wanted to come in and see the motel because they had never been inside since it was built. They like how nice the motel was and they couldn't believe the 40 inch TV in my room so they asked the clerk and he said they had the same type of TV in every room. My parents got a kick out of that.

No Sleep Zone

The room we had was 10 feet from a busy street and underneath metal and wooden stairs, so we had noise all night long. We knew we had a problem whne we opened the front door of our room and it hit the bed. No sleep and small room couldn't make up for convenient location and free parking.
