- I don't know where those older reviews are talking about but sure isn't this place - there are no bugs - can't hear the bar from the room & the room I had was recently redone & clean,clean,clean also had fridge & microwave - Staff was totally accomodating. Posted: Dec 28, 2008 - Out of peak season, this hotel costs $70 plus tax per night for a double room, which is great value for Naples. The swimming pool is excellent taking into account the price of the hotel. There are loads of sunbeds, free towels, a good poolside bar and restaurant and the pool is relatively large. The room itself was very clean, recently redecorated and included a fridge and microwave as well as a little kitchenette. The hotel staff were all very friendly and helpful. Whilst it serves bagels and pancakes (the usual US motel breakfast), there isn't really room to accommodate everyone so it becomes a bit of a rugby scrum to get your food.. Read review

Posted: Jul 02, 2006 - LHP - We were told by friends in Tampa that we'd have no problem finding a reasonably priced room in the Naples area but it proved to be more of a challenge than we expected. We saw the Gulfcoast Inn (right on Hwy 41) and stopped in to check price & availability and were happy to get a very nice, recently redecorated room (equiped kitchenette, granite counters, large bathroom, big TV, two easy chairs, dining set, king bed) for $120. The complex has 2 restaurants, a large pool with an adjoining large outside cocktail lounge. After talking to one of the other "quests" we found out that the rooms are owned by individuals something like a condo arrangement; some of the rooms are offered for rent (like ours) while others are used by the owners only. We were also told that not all rooms are up to the same standard as ours so it probably would be a good idea to ask if you can see the room before booking if possible (as I recall, ours was #254 but I'm not positive)..
