The Clay Hotel - Miami Beach, USA

I had the chance to stay @ Clay Hotel during my visit to Miami two years ago. This small, cheap and neat hotel is right on the Washington avenue and at a walking distant to some lovely restaurants, nightclubs and shopping centers. I strongly believe that Clay hotel is ideal for those who wish to pay less and to be close to the wonderful "South Beach".

awful hotel! never ever! I understand that for this price you can not expect a good hotel, but it is the most awful hotel I ever stayed in. first of all, after check in we had to find our room ourselves, the hotel separated to 3-4 different buildings. so, we were almost lost when we were looking for correct building and room, of course nobody helped us with luggage and we did not get proper instructions how to get there. Every morning 8 o'clock we woke up because of cleaning machines outside and cleaning lady's inside with vacuum cleaners, there was so much noise. The rooms are small, terrible, bed is tiny... Even for this price it's terrible. Me moved out after couple of days to our friends' place.

was not told about the location of room which was down the street and up a couple of levels. NO ELEVATOR!

The area was great but the room looked like a cheap motel instead of a motel. it's def a 2 star hotel. for the price since i was on a budget was great.

Stay Away! Credit card # stolen by employees!!

Do not stay at this hotel. I stayed in this hotel with my boyfriend for one night before heading off on a carribean cruise for 7 days and got my credit card # stolen by one of their employees. I booked my stay online using the hotel website months before and paid for it online. When checking in they asked me for he same credit card to "confirm" my reservation. It made me uneasy that the front desk person was taking so long to check us in and I now know why. Ending up that employee somehow "cloned" my credit card. I had that physical card in my possession but they were able to use my credit card account to run up charges at various establishments. I only found this out because1) I never use this credit card 2) this was the only credit card that I brought to use on my trip 3) I never used this credit card in FL except when checking in to the hotel 4) was notified by my credit card company when I was trying to make a purchase in Mexico while on my cruise. They told me of the "suspicous" activity and had to immediately close my account. Save yourself the nightmare of having to monitor your credit for months making sure that your identity has not been stolen and trying to clear the situation up with your credit card company.
