4First of all, there are many good points about this hotel; namely:
* the hotel is perfectly located down the quiet end of OceanDrive;
* it is right across the street from the beach;
* it is conveniently next to a multi-storey car park which isn't too expensive;
* the rooms are well decorated and the double beds are huge;
However, there are a couple of things to be aware of:
* their website obviously isn't working properly as they had no receipt of my reservation. Fortunately I had my copy and they had rooms available but I can assume from the attitude of the Receptionist - namely we must have made a cock up on our reservation NOT that it was their fault - we were lucky they had rooms left.
* the walls are PAPER THIN.
Seriously! When we first checked in at around 9.30pm, we went to the room and found that the guest next door were making use of the free CD player in their room and BLASTING out Mariah Carey. We went back to Reception, complained and were given another room but on the same side of the hotel. As we had just travelled for 11 hours from the UK, all we wanted to do was get some sleep but at 4am, we could still hear the aforementioned noisy guests as they were now above us. We telephoned Reception and received no apology nor any promise that they would approach guests to turn music down.
* the bathroom was tiny. You had to sidestep to actually get on to the toilet as it was so close to the sink!!
All this being said, it was a good location and the breakfast in the restaurant was very nice. All I would say is take some earplugs just in case your neighbours are as noisy as ours were!
