False advertising, do not stay here

The rooms are old, out dated, and the pictures they have on their website are false advertising. The rooms look nothing like it. Walls are paper thin. Doors slamming all the time. To top it all off the staff sucks and don't give a damn about you. This is the worst experience I've ever had with a hotel. I typically stay in 5 star places and don't care about price. When looking at their website it looked great, perfect location and was $ per night for ocean front so I thought great and booked it. Well they didn't give me ocean front and the rooms were horrible unlike the pictures showed. Do yourself a favor and move on because this place is a baltic ave at boardwalk prices.

I would definitely recommend this hotel to someone, it was in the heart of everything, we didn't have to get in our car once.

Overall this is an old run down hotel that may have renovated the rooms a few years ago but there is little evidence of that today. The walls are paper thin and you can hear everything from the next room. Another problem was the hotel took a copy of my credit card to prove I stayed there. When I asked to get the copy back at check out I was rudely told no and that policy dictated this. This is a major risk for fraud! All I wanted was to cross out some information so my credit card number could not be stolen. This after they took my drivers license and swiped my credit card. In such a poorly run establishment there is no guarantee that my information would be safe guarded. Stay somewhere else!

Stayed at the Waldorf for my birthday last August. Room was really cute and a pleasant surprise. Lots of hotels in South Beach have upgraded the room with laminate floors, thank goodness because the rugs were sooooo gross, doesn't matter what hotel... rugs are just gross... Only complaint, we had arrived 20minutes before check in time and were told that we could check in early for $20, which I couldn't understand... Usually if the room is available at other hotels (ie, the National, Essex House) they allow you to check in at no additional cost... So I was annoyed that I could check in earlier for an additional $20 even though the room was just sitting there...Aside from that, I enjoyed my stay, the front desk staff was good.
