not bad but not the best either

The hotel seems to have old and new sections- I think the basic room gets put in the old. Our room was old and needed some fixing up but it was clean. We had trouble with the air conditioner- someone came to fix it but then it was leaking water- their answer to fixing it was apparently to just shut it back off. The room faced the street so it was noisy all night. The pool area was very nice, clean and the beach is right behind the facility but you have to pay for the chairs etc. Some young adults were on their patio overlooking the pool and seemed to be smoking which nobody seemed concerned about. The staff was friendly enough and the room was clean.

Got a great deal booking online at the Shelborne in Miami's South Beach. The place was great, the location was perfect (right on the beach and we just left our car at the hotel and walked everywhere!), and we found out the we got a super-cheap rate by booking online and the hotel gave us a room with a view of the ocean just because we asked and because they said they get tons of visitors from your service. It was great and we'll be back soon!

If you enjoy abominable service, bugs, rodents and pidgeon droppings then stay here. If you vakue your health and comfort do not. a pig sty is a step up.

Booked the Shelborne on a special package and loved it! I got a special price, free breakfast and a free upgrade to a beautiful room right on the beach! The staff were very nice and helpful. The room seemed like it was brand-new. The resturant and bar are and are real nice and affordable right near the pool . The had two different clubs and we were near everything in South Beach. We both got great tans and relaxed: it was just what we needed. I'll rate it an A+!
