Occupying less than 5 sq km on the southern tip of Miami Beach, South Beach is famous for its broad, flawless strand of coral sand. Also known as the American Rivera, the area’s beautiful beach and stunning Deco architecture has made it a favourite location for films, TV shows and a backdrop for fashion shoots.
The area is known as the Art Deco Historic District and has the largest concentration of 1920s and 1930s architecture in the world. The district is listed in the National Register of Historic Places and is recognised as one of greater Miami's unique attractions.
