TripTake Traveler Reviews
Stayed here from 6/27/08 - 6/29/08 for 2 nights with wifey...just a weekend getaway...Contacted hotel directly to make reservations...had a little trouble trying to make reservations b/c reservations lady (Laura) was never there but after a 3rd or 4th attempt finally I spoke to her...also go to the direct hotel website not orbitz or expedia & check availability & prices b/c its cheaper...website said $89/ night for King superior room & when I called to reserve they said it would be $109/night...I explained that the website said it was $89/night & she honored that price for $89/night...they will charge you a $50 deposit but it will be refunded at the end of your stay...
overall EXCELLENT hotel...rooms CLEAN...Everything is remodeled...nice pool...nice lobby...EXCELLENT service...The price is definately RIGHT!...especially for SoBe...I searched online for days trying to find the cheapest but nicest hotel for the $...& this is it...also the owner owns The Southbeach Hotel on 21st & Collins...looks very nice as well...same price but no pool...never stayed here but I passed by & it looks Great from the outside...
All in all if your looking for the cheapest but NICEST hotel in SoBe...this is definately it!...1 block from Collins & Lincoln Road...2 blocks from Beach...4 blocks from Ocean drive...CVS & Wallgreens open 24 hours right there...Great Clothes store on the corner...I forgot to pack jeans to go clubbing...found a great outfit here for cheap!...good prices!...close to everything!!...
If your like me & not worried about staying in your hotel room the whole weekend & just want an AFFORDABLE, CLEAN but NICE place to rest your head...this is it!...also when you first go in your room & turn on the A/C its going to be warm @ first but eventually your room is going to be ICE cold especially after leaving it on all day...set it on low in the night time or your gonna freeze your buns off...theres an extra blanket in the dresser...
Definately recommend this hotel... I will definately stay here again!...also rent a scooter to get around...its cheaper than having a car & more economical...$3 of gas lasted me the whole weekend...eat @ this little outdoor cuban spot on collins right next to Geneva hotel where I rented the scooter...Great food & cheap...I went to Jerrys diner to get breakfast looked @ the menu & bounced out of there quicker than lightning...they wanted to charge $20 for EGGS!!!...also u can eat @ Wet Willies & have a triple play (Attitude adjustment+Sex on the Beach+Call a cab I think)...order the wet willies cheese steak...sit on 2nd floor balcony & enjoy the ocean front view...prices are reasonable & food is good too...
Best clubs are...Mansion, Bed, Opium, Cameo, Space... Dress to impress or you will be waiting for hours on line...I walked up to Mansion with wifey lookin FRESH to death & the bouncer immediately pointed @ us & let us cut the whole line & brought us straight 2 the front & let us in so dress 2 IMPRESS!!! I wore White short sleeve button down shirt & some faded jeans with white loafers & white kango 2 match...wifey wore some short white shorts with halter top & leaopard print high heel shoes...if your going with a group of guys find a group of girls on line & try 2 mingle b/c if they see you with the girls they will let u all in...also try to barter & tell the girls youll buy them a drink once your inside if they say they are with u so u can get in...

I had a great stay at the Creat Hotel this weekend. The reviews on this hotel seem to be poor in 2004...
