I read good reviews, liked what I saw on their website and liked that it was two blocks back from Ocean Drive so that it was quiet and as crazy but. I very much loved my room (queen) and, yes, the shower is open but I was traveling by myself so that was not at all an issue. I also read about the in-room CD player and surround sound so I brought CDs and enjoyed getting ready to music. The continental breakfast in the morning was good; everything you would need to start the day - coffee, milk, OJ, cereal, yogurt and pastries. While I might agree that the carpet could use a little bit of refreshing and the bar wasn't open when I was there, I would say that except for sleeping, the only time I was in my room was to get ready to go to the beach or to go out.. The staff was very helpful which was surprising since I was told that SOBE hotel staff can be rude at many other hotels it's size. The rooms were just like in the pictures. It was pretty quiet which was great since we brought our 8 week old baby. The other negative is that it does not have beach access or a nice view from the window.. Read review

They lack the charm, and friendly hotel staff that made South Beach popular. The Management and Staff at the Hotel St. Every the loveable chocolate lab that lounges in the lobby remembers returning guests with a big smile.. Read review

Good bedroom and super bathroom.
This is more like a guesthouse than an hotel. No real facilities other than your room. Staff very helpful. However it is expensive for what it offers and the stair and passage carpets need replacing! Some people complained of the hotel dog, but we liked him.! Very good quiet location, would stay again, but hope for price reduction.
We like the "boutique" hotel feel and spa soaps & robes. Continental breakfast with pastries was great! We found the air conditioning to be louder than normal and walls thin. We could hear tv's and talking in other rooms.
