Posted: Oct 13, 2005 - member - I read good reviews, liked what I saw on their website and liked that it was two blocks back from Ocean Drive so that it was quiet and as crazy but. I very much loved my room (queen) and, yes, the shower is open but I was traveling by myself so that was not at all an issue. I also read about the in-room CD player and surround sound so I brought CDs and enjoyed getting ready to music. The continental breakfast in the morning was good; everything you would need to start the day - coffee, milk, OJ, cereal, yogurt and pastries. While I might agree that the carpet could use a little bit of refreshing and the bar wasn't open when I was there, I would say that except for sleeping, the only time I was in my room was to get ready to go to the beach or to go out.. The rooms were just like in the pictures. It was pretty quiet which was great since we brought our 8 week old baby. The other negative is that it does not have beach access or a nice view from the window.. Read review
