Hotel St. Augustine - Miami Beach, USA     

This is my fourth year in a row coming down to South Beach. I like to try a different "boutique" hotel everytime. This trip I choose Hotel St. Augustine. I read good reviews, liked what I saw on their website and liked that it was two blocks back from Ocean Drive so that it was quiet and as crazy but...close to the crazy! I was not disappointed. I very much loved my room (queen) and, yes, the shower is open but I was traveling by myself so that was not at all an issue. As a woman, I loved the shower/steam as well as the full vanity. I also read about the in-room CD player and surround sound so I brought CDs and enjoyed getting ready to music. The continental breakfast in the morning was good; everything you would need to start the day - coffee, milk, OJ, cereal, yogurt and pastries. While I might agree that the carpet could use a little bit of refreshing and the bar wasn't open when I was there, I would say that except for sleeping, the only time I was in my room was to get ready to go to the beach or to go out. If you are spending more time in your room than that, then you just aren't experiencing South Beach! I would very much recommend this hotel. Loved the dog too!!!

I originally would stay at St. Augustine's for business, but I could not get enough of it. No matter how long I stood away from Florida, St. Augustine's was where I wanted to stay everytime I would return. The decorum is Vintage Miami wih a modern touch of freshness and the staff makes you feel like your part of the family. St. Augustine's has a fresh feeling to it as well as a somberness. I enjoy the great hospitality..Management is wonderful and I hope they continue to make me want to come back..... I miss it everytime I'm away for too long. I really love the fact that it's only two blocks away from all the action and I can return to the hotel to get a peaceful night's sleep. I'm returning to Florida this month and I'll definitley be there for a weekend stay! Can't wait!
