Sheraton Los Angeles Downtown - Los Angeles, USA

We just returned from a 5 night stay at the Sheraton Downtown, on a combined business/pleasure trip and loved it. We stayed on the Club Floor which was totally worth the nominal extra $ (I think $20/nt). Good size room, spacious and modern bathroom, furnishings and linens were above average, plus the rooms on this floor are very quiet. And yes, the beds are every bit as comfortable as described in other reviews - just incredible. We had contact with several staff (check in, bartenders, concierge, and housekeeping) and found everyone to be extremely courteous and genuinely helpful. The Club floor offers complimentary b'fast till 10:30 which included fruit, pastries, bagels, cereal etc. Everything was fresh and tasty, and as fulfilling as a $15 b'fast from the restaurant would be. They also offer complimentary evening hors d'oeuvres although we were unable to take advantage because of our busy schedule. Wireless internet is 12.95/day and yes the parking is expensive; fortunately for us the internet costs were covered by company expense account and we did not bother with a car so saved on both of these. No pool or much of an exercise room but there is Bally's on the main floor ($10/day for hotel guests) which opens at 5;30am and stays open till at least 9pm. For those on foot, the red line metro rail station is directly across the street which we used extensively and found it to be safe, clean and efficient. If you are in LA for business this hotel is definately worth a try. The location is easily within walking distance to the Convention Centre, Staples, and business district. It is not so convenient for for sight seeing, the really good shopping, or other entertainment as LA is very spread out. Still, we found it a great place to stay and would recommend highly.

The hotel was in a convenient location, room was clean, lobby was nice, bed was comfortable.

Great location with lots of stuff around. Staff was helpful in telling us about the surrounding area, giving directions and advising us where not to go as far as safety concerns. Room was nice and comfy.

No frills business hotel that promises more than it delivers.
