Very close to attractions and my favorite restaurant (roscoes). The front desk staff was nice but one gentlemen (Max) goes out of his way to make you happy he is wonderful. They also have a restaurant called the "101 Coffee shop" that is excellent. I highly reccommend this place for location and price this is the only place I stay when I go to LA.. Read review

On a road trip with my 11 yr old daughter and after having a very bad experience at the above hotel we felt as though we were in a real bind until we phoned the BWHH where we received very patient service from the night manager which filled us with a great sense of relief. We arrived the next morning at the hotel after being forced to stay at the Cadillac (due that I wasn't in a position of affording to pay two hotel rates for one night) feeling very apprehensive about the 'look' of the area and the property itself thinking 'here we go again" until we actually walked into the reception area which was very trendy and cool and immediately washed away the sense of dread. After we checked in we went to park the car in their cool parking area which has hand-drawn sketches of various old stars and starlets which delighted my daughter and loaded our stuff into the (small) elevator to our floor. We got out and were greeted by a lovely view of the courtyard which holds the pool (which also delighter my daughter! Our room was a total relief, spotlessly clean and very large with fridge, microwave, great beds and wonderful bathroom (which I hear were just recently renovated) with all possible amenities - even a notice saying if you forgot your razor, toothbrush, etc the front desk would arrange to obtain these items for you!. Location was great and decor 50s Hollywood pictures everywhere that were cool. The staff was friendly and helpful, the room was very clean.

Located near Walk of Fame and they also have an awesome cafe attached to their hotel had darn good food. The shower is nice and great cafe at the bottom - the 101 Cafe - great breakfast.

One member of staff told us to walk downtown -- a long way, there's a small pool in the middle of the block at the back.
