The Bevery Inn opposite CBS in Los Angeles appears to have 'cleaned up its act."...as they say. For the price ($65 single, $75 double) it
is a great deal with walking distance to The Grove nearby at Farmers Mkt, CBS shows, Cantors LA-famous deli on Fairfax, as well as Beverly
Hills.
I have ben staying there on and off all year as a biz travler and have always found it fine. The rooms are clean, everything works (TV
to great) and there are new touches here and there like shower curtains, bedding, etc., coffee maker. Parking is in back is well lit, but on first come basis with not as many spots as to accomodate all rooms, but there is lots of st parking too.
Nearby places to get food...one blk over, opp the Post Office there is a great coffee shop, with Net service, a health food grocery store, Cantors deli abot 5 blks, away (great Jewish food, bakery) opp
the coffee shop and 10 mins away is Farmers Mkt where there are 50 places to eat. If you like donuts, do not miss BOBS at the mkt, the best on the West coast. For Italian food try Maggiano's at the market. They also sell fresh fruit at the market too. There is Johnny
Rockets, Dupars Coffeee Shop and for gumbo, try The Gumbo Pot.
A stay at the Beverly Inn for a nite or two is a great deal and walking access to so many things, without fighting LA traffic. I recommend it. The young Indian couple that run the Bev Inn are very nice and helpful with any questions,. etc.

We booked this hotel because of it vicinity to the CBS studios. It is literally next door and the location couldn't be better. But the location was about the only positive thing when rating this hotel.
The room was a bit dirty and I couldn't shower without my flip flops. The walls were paper thin and you could hear everything that your neighbor was doing. Oh and the view from our window was of another building's wall.
If you wish to stay as close as you can to CBS studios this might be your choice. Just remember to bring your own pillowcase, ear plugs and flip flops and leave any expectations home.
BTW, there is a great Thai food restaurant just down the block. You should try it. Food is cheap and very tasty!

Well the hotel does not offer restaurant services, fancy spa services, nor a bar/lounge. However, what do you expect to receive when you spend about $75 per night? It did, however, have a pool and high-speed internet. If you are looking for an economic and limited services hotel then this is a good place to stay. We checked in a little ahead of schedule (10:00 am). Luckily the front desk was able to get us settled into the room and for the most we enjoyed our stay. The room was clean and it looks like they did some updates to the hotel. We stayed for three nights and did not have any problems with the staff or services. If you want a lot of hotel amenities, this may not be the place for you and you can stay at the Sofitel and probably pay four times more. If you want something cheap and clean, I suggest this place.

This hotel is SO dirty. We booked this hotel because of it's proximity to CBS Studios for The Price is Right. We ended up having to sleep out on the street to save our place in line for the show and I cannot tell you how grateful I am! Very sad when one would rather sleep on the street than in this hotel. We used the room to go to the bathroom and shower. The shower was disgusting. There was mold and mildew on the walls and all over the shower curtian, seems that the owners have never heard of Tilex, let alone bleach. I sat on the bed, which is ROCK hard and the room had an odd, undescribable smell and we had a non-smoking room. They do not leave you any complimentary shampoos or lotions so if you do decide to book this hotel, bring your own. But my recommendation is that if you need a hotel close to the CBS Studio, read the reviews for The Gardenhouse Inn or The Farmers Daughter -- they're just as close.

We booked a room at this hotel because of the location. It is an easy walk to the CBS studios where we attended the Price is Right. When we first walked in it looked to be clean, but upon closer investigation we noticed MOLD in the shower, visibly dirty comforters and very OLD pillows that had lost their shape. The parking stalls were VERY close and we could BARELY get out without banging the car next to us. I paid $74 for this room and I don't think it was worth that. The pool is very small if you plan to swim. I would only recommend this hotel if you are without a car and need to walk to the CBS studios. Otherwise, try somewhere else.
