We stayed here in July 2007 for 4 nights. It's location is perfect for Hollywood and it's just a 3 minute walk around the corner. Also excellent as a base if you have a car and want to go off exploring LA. The staff were great. Welcoming, cheerful and always happy to help. One reason we chose this hotel was for the free parking. Although this is only a small hotel, the car park was always busy. On one occasion we returned after midnight and found it full. We parked outside the main entrance to the hotel in a red zone. The chap behind reception (who I think was the manager) offered to pay for us to park in the multi-story or leave the car where it was and if we got a ticket, he'd pay for it! The room was spacious and included the biggest bed I have ever slept in. I found out from a friend who lives in LA that it was called a California King. It was huge and extremely comfortable. It included en suite bathroom with shower, dressing table with big bulbs all around it like something you would find in a filmstar's dressing room. The overall hotel cleanliness was excellent. Our room was cleaned once a day including fresh towels. Only one thing I did notice was the carpet leading from the stairs on the 1st floor was a little stained. It just needed a quick shampoo. Don't let that put you off though. Overall this hotel is excellent and I have already recommended it to a work collegue who is staying there this coming August.

We stayed here for 4 nights March 2008 and had a great time. The location is excellent - easy walking to the Chinese Theatre, Kodak Theatre and the subway stop that takes you to Universal Studios. The Reception staff were superb, extremely helpful and the kids absolutely loved it. Free parking is a bonus. We were always able to find parking and only had to leave the keys once at the front desk (which was not a problem for us). The rooms were clean but a little dated. Need a good update. The bathroom could have also used some work. The kitchen was good to store food for snacks for the kids. Breakfast was simply muffins and begals from Costco. Not very much but good to get you started and head out. The location and the convinience of free parking make this hotel a very good place to stay in Hollywood.
