I dont know why people write negative reviews about this hotel. Rooms were neat, bathroom was very clean, plasma tv's, and comfy beds. The hotel was extremely quiet and the location was close to everything. This was an excellent choice and would recommend others to stay there.

I don't know, I'm not a native of L.A., haven't stayed in many hotels there, but we loved the B.W. Hollywood Plaza. Well appointed room, and according to my research was value price for the location. What more do you need? Walking distance to downtown Hollywood. We paid $150 through the hotel website.
Noise? Never heard a peep. I wonder if some people just don't sleep well, blame it on the hotel. We live in a super quiet secluded rural home, neither of us had any problems here. And we go to sleep by 11:00.
Tip for jazz fans: try the Baked Potato nightclub. A couple of miles north. Very cool, great musicians. Intimate.
