1while looking for an apartment in L.A., my hustand and I stayed in this hotel for a week and hated every minutes of it. We stayed in room 211. When we first walked into the room, we noticed strange smell in the room and several strands of hair on comforter and bed sheet. We started to wonder how often they cleaned the room. It turned out that during the whole week we stayed there, they never cleaned the room. As a result, I developed rashes on both of my forearms.
We regretted that we stayed in this hotel just to save a few bucks. No only is the hotel filthy, the hotel staff lied and withheld information from its guests.
For example, the second day after we stayed there, I asked Ed (probably the owner of the hotel) when a maid would clean up the room for us. He said that the maid was sick and would clean the room after she got better. Five days passed, I was ready to check out and the room was never cleaned by a maid. So, we asked a brunette lady (she is probably Ed's wife) about how the maid was doing since the maid was not physically well to clean the room. The brunette lady seemed surprised about the question but quickly said that maid did not clean the room because we did not put a tag on the doorknob requesting the room to be cleaned. We felt that Ed and this brunette lady may be lying to us in order not to provide a necessary service to their guests.
Also, this hotel did not change your towels everyday. You need to ask for “clean” towels every day. One night I knocked the manager’s door around 7 pm for clean towels and they did not bother to answer. Thus, we had no choice but to “recycled” the towels we used the day before.
Finally, although the room we stayed in is wired to internet service, Ed and his brunette lady never mentioned it to us when we checked in. Instead, they would direct guests to use the two PCs in the office during office hours. And for after hours, guests are only allowed to use the only computer in laundry room (YES, a computer in a laundry room!). People are always waiting in line in the small laundry room for internet use. The hotel owner and manger doesn’t seem to care a bit!
This is the worst hotel-staying experience we have ever had. We would highly recommend everyone to stay away from this hotel. In the mean time, we are filling a formal complains on this hotel to the Best Business Bureau.
