Very modern, but very friendly and I felt at home right away. The service was good, the hotel was clean, and I got free internet access. The location is the best so I really had nothing to complain about. I like to workout when I travel and they had a great gym overlooking the strip.. Read review

The staff is extremely rude. It has on average over the 5 nights here taken 45min to have our car brought around. If anything goes missing from your room be prepared to be told that you're mistaken about where you left your object (is if that's a good reason) and then are told rather rudely that they've never had theft issue...of course as we well know there is a first time for everything - Stay Away!!!!

My friend and I booked this hotel in February for our trip to LA in May. It was between here and the Best Western across the street. What really caught our eye was the rooftop pool at the Hyatt which is why we chose to book here. We arrived at the hotel and were given a room that was explained to us as such...We have given you a nice room on the front of the hotel with a beautiful view overlooking Sunset Blvd, however the balconies are being taken off therefore you aren't able to step out on them....with that we went up to our room, where not only could you not step out on the balcony, but you could't even open the sliding door, to allow some air in. As far as the view--we got to see the grates of the balcony wall, because well that was all you could see when looking out the sliding glass door. On Friday of our stay, my friend and I decided to check out the rooftop pool, which to our surprise was also..under renovations until May 23rd. Let's rewind a minute also--we had no refridgerator or comforter's in our room-these day's that is pretty standard for a hotel! Ok, so after we see that the pool is closed, I went down to the front desk to ask who I would complain to, and the young lady said she could try to help. We explained to her that had we known the hotel was under renovations we would have booked elsewhere and that the selling point was the rooftop pool, which also was closed. She looked at when we booked it, which was in Feb, and said that unfortunately the note of renovations wasn't posted until after that, and that it was only if you went to book hotel under the website. The woman was very nice, and offered to comp our parking ($18 a day) and provide us with breakfast vouchers for each morning of our stay. We were thankful for her trying to rectify the situation and provide us with good service. Both were helpful. I proceeded to check on the computer to see when renovations began for the hotel, and the website said in March (mind you I had to proceed into booking a room to even get this information) SO my question is--you mean to tell me that if renovcations began in March? that in February-the hotel wasn't aware that these things would be compromised? Also-do many people even book through hotel sites? WHen I am booking through a travel website-I check the hotel to see what it's like and it would have been nice to have on the front-this hotel is going through some renovations. Needless to say, location was wonderful, the cleaners were very nice as well as the rest of the hotel and restaurant employees. It just stunk that we weren't made aware of these things before hand!

Would I book with the Hyatt again? possibly-BUT I think before booking any hotel, I will call and ask if any renovations will be going on during my stay.

One more thing---we had to pay for internet!!
