Courtyard Marriott Sherman Oak - Los Angeles, USA 

I stayed at this courtyard last Friday night. I must agree the noise level from the highway and the busy street it was on was unbearable to me. You could hear the motorcycles all night long. I would not stay there again. The lobby is nice but the rest of the hotel is just o.k.. Actually rather depressing. I was on the 7th floor and requested the quiet side. They said they put me in a quiet room. Will be looking for a new hotel for the next trip out.

I was booked in here by my corporate travel agent. I stay at Courtyards a lot and usually very reliable. The location is good with respect to freeways. But I have to tell you the highway noise was amazingly loud. I couldn't sleep even after pulling both sets of drapes and making sure the doors were closed properly. I read the other reviews and they must be by employees of the hotel as they are a joke. Even though the hotel was obviously redone at some point they left the old doors that allow noise and wind right through. Also I couldn't get the allegedly free internet to work despite calling the vendor.. Sorry I woudl stay away unless you plan to up partying all night and don't need to sleep
