Hotel Juma - Pollensa, Spain 

Hotel Juma is 100 years old. It is a traditional hotel with lots of original character and charm, but with modern facilities and helpful and friendly staff. The bedrooms are beautifully appointed and are spotlessly clean. It is located in Pollenca's lovely old square, with it's many cafes and restaurants, all of which serve good quality food. If you are looking for an unspoilt location with traditional atmosphere, then Pollenca and Hotel Juma are an excellent choice. It is definitely worth trying to stay in Pollenca on a Sunday, as there is a brilliant market selling local produce, and in the evening the cafes and restaurants are full of locals, so there is an excellent atmosphere on this day. There is a good bus service to other areas.

We stayed for 7 nights and we can only reiterate B&P Tynemouth's comments. The Hotel is small ( 7 rooms ) but the location in the Placa Major is great. Right in the centre of local activity, be it the market on Sunday or the Church events bringing locals and tourists into the Placa. Enjoy your breakfast sitting outside the hotel, and watch local life unfold. The room ( 302 ) was on the top floor was clean and comfortable, with the added bonus of a small balcony, giving views across Pollensa town to the surrounding mountains,Puig de Maria and the coast, and also a partial view of the Placa. The girls on reception always greeted us whether coming or going as did the waiters/waitresses. A really friendly atmosphere throughout. Parking can be a problem if you need the car next to the Hotel, limited parking allowed in a narrow street with permit obtained from the Hotel reception. Plenty of parking in the surrounding streets.
