Location
We are just 3 miles from I-45. Old Town Spring, Aerodrome Ice Skating Area, Myer Park, Collins Park and the Laff Spot.
Restaurants with in two blocks include Hunan Chef III, Taco Bell/ Pizza Hut, Fuddruckers, Americas Incredible Pizza, Minerva and The Mediterranean Palace. Bars / Lounges are Chayns and The Boat.
These folks are trying very hard - but the location (behind the Salvation Army Thrift store) is not helping. That said, they make up for it in friendliness, cleanliness, and quiet. Room is large with every amenity of a big scale hotel - except the mounted magnifying mirror which is absent. They are going to have ongoing problems with mold because the building and room AC units are old and condensation is a problem. BUT, I can walk barefoot through the room and my feet stay clean. They had a manager's reception last night with enough food for dinner, and the check in clerk chased me down after I went out last night because I didn't get my water and chocolates which they give to all incoming guests.. Breakfast is Holiday Inn standard, and there is a small, pretty pool out back that I've just had a dip in (Houston is HOT).
