I had a promotional rate through Travelocity, so knew I wouldn't receive their finest room. I was only in Chicago one night and would barely be in the hotel. Thank goodness. The room was small, but what I noticed immediately were two huge circular stains on the carpeting. The room could have used some paint, and a good cleaning. The public areas were dreary, and the furnishings "tired". Pump Room breakfast was very good. Would not recommend this hotel at any price.

This is an upscale hotel with very friendly, efficient, and helpful staff. The common areas are tastefully decorated and there is a definite feel of luxury. The standard rate would have been too high for us, but we were able to find fabulous mid-week rates. After we booked our original reservation with Travelocity, we found out we needed an additional room. We went to the hotel's own website and found a very reasonable nightly rate that was better even than the Travelocity rate. All in all, we feel that we got very good value for the money we spent. It was a great time for us!
