Very hospitable staff but too many "we're very sorry" to us and other guests. 2) and had to wait an hour for a new room (looking across rooftop H/V units); requested and was promised through reservation line and front desk microwave and minifrig (including reminder call) but frig came late (after pestering) and learned the next day (more pestering) that microwaves there didn't even exist; got "how is your room" check at 2:00 AM; room service and extra blanket requests took about an hour; supposedly free internet access in the lobby didn't work; pool was out for couple of weeks because part of ceiling fell down; internet free only in lobby ($10 charge for room) but lobby didn't work either. Nothing much included in the price - lots of add on charges (internet, bottled water in the room) - even complementary newspapers came only 1 of the 3 days and there were only about 15 TV channels (nice flat screen HD TV though). Wonderful beds (including down comforters but too warm for summer). Some very kind and well intentioned staff though - doorman was empowered to provide us a complementary breakfast for our initial troubles. Service might improve with time but value will not.. Very nice hotel. Good location. Lots of restaurants nearby and shopping mall within walking distance. Good size room. Only negative was they forgot to make up our room one day.
This is a very nice hotel in an excellent location near Oakbrook, Lombard and Downers Grove.
The room was very nice, very clean and had the best bed I have slept on in a long time. I really liked the single serve coffee-maker with complimentary Starbucks coffee. The sports bar (Harry Caray's) was on site and was a nice place to have a Goose Island beer. Also, an excellent fitness center with quality equipment. Nice staff, even the housekeeping ladies greet you and smile.
My favorite room is the Corner King Suite. This room is large enough to circulate lots of air and enough windom to bring sunshine in the room in large volumes. The service is just okay I have had better service at other facilities. Some staff/management need to be retrained on customer service. Room is great due to the many windows. The bathroom is very nice with its oversized tub and separate shower. This room comes with free wifi and access to the executive floor, where guest can relax with soft drink or water and some ordorves. Parking is very nice. Guest can park in front lot or in the garage. I will definitely be back just to stay in that room.
