- The hotel is 2 blocks from Michigan Avenue and there are a few resturants nearby, we loved the Grand Lux Cafe, huge portions and great food. The breakfast at the hotel was a good selection. Staff were helpful espically Steve the doorman.. Read review

The staff was friendly and always helpful with directions, recommending restaurants and other points of interest. The lobby is beautiful and welcoming with plenty of places to sit and meet.. Posted: Oct 08, 2007 - MikeZ640 - There were numerous tables, sofas, chairs, flat screen tv's arranged in a comfortable way. TV's are all new:however, the rooms, hallways and elevators are small. The location is wonderful, very close to the Water Tower where you catch the buses and trolleys. The price was a bargain compared to other hotels I checked with a similar location.. Read review
