Courteous staff and comfortable room...

I accidentally booked this hotel instead of the Hyatt Suites in Oak Brook but was not disappointed. The thing that stands out is that every member of the hotel staff was extremely helpful & courteous. The front desk clerks were cheerful and welcoming. During breakfast the wait staff could not do enough and when a tip was given he made sure that we knew breakfast was comped with the room. Service like this makes a hotel stand out from the rest. The room was fine. It had all the appointments you'd expect, and was clean and comfortable. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. And I would stay there again. Good service is what sets things apart for me these days. I will not go anywhere a second time if I am not treated well initially. Breakfast was standard fare. The fresh fruit was welcome. The only thing for me is I wish American hotels would carry good quality yogurt in the restaurants. It's always the tiny containers of highly processed, no-fat sort. It's not real yogurt in my opinion. But as I mentioned that seems to be the norm in the U.S. Otherwise, a good stay in a perfectly nice hotel. Thank you Marriott Suites in Downers Grove!

the hotel was great. the room was great. the food was great. the pool was great. the service was great. i would stay here again.

Overall experience at Marriott Downers Grove was great. The staff were pleasant, friendly and eager to help. It has a quite calming atomsphere which very relaxing - home away from home.

Service was outstanding! Checkin was quick and to the point. The clerk at the desk was very helpful, I believe his name was Chris. Room Service was also very prompt and tasty. The key to this hotel though is its personal touch. I asked for help in making travel plans to downtown Chicago. Chris and manager Dan were AWESOME. They took the extra time to map out the best route by train and create a tour of downtown for my family. The funny thing is this level of service was consistent throughout the entire hotel. Bravo!
