Four Seasons Chicago - Chicago, USA 

Based on the Best of Chicago magazine August 2008, my husband and I went to enjoy martinis at the 4 Seasons Lounge before dinner. I ordered a premium gin, a little dirty, with blue cheese olives. Here we are, in this prestigious hotel expecting to be treated to an excellent beverage. What we got was a sub-par martini, and it did not have olive juice in it (that is what makes it "dirty"). So my order was wrong - but this is the kicker. The waiter came over, acknowledged the mistake, and instead of bringing me a fresh drink proceeded to dump an ounce or two of olive juice directly into my drink. This nasty concoction was supposed to be my 'best in Chicago martini'??? My husband and I laughed about it - but really.... if I'm going to pay $13 for a premium liquor martini in a four star hotel, shouldn't I at least get a fresh drink if the first one is incorrectly made? Shame on you, 4 Seasons! I hope people read this and realize that they should proceed with caution in their lounge! I guess they can all order the $8 Bud Light instead....

My husband and I received a one-night stay at the Four Seasons Chicago as a wedding gift. We spent the night at the hotel after our wedding and it was absolutely perfect. As soon as we arrived, the bellman took our bags and got them up to our room. We have a flawless check in and check out. We ordered a wonderful breakfast the next morning (a bit pricy, but well worth the splurge!) The room service attendant set up our table next to the window, which overlooked Michigan Ave! The room was spotless, the cleanest hotel I've ever stayed in and by far the most impeccable service I've ever received. A perfect end to our fairy tale wedding - I only wished we could have stayed longer, one night was not enough.
