After a recent stay at this hotel I felt it was my responsibility to express my complete and utter satisfaction. Having frequented various hotels nationwide, I can honestly say that the service and hospitality at the Millennium Bostonian far surpasses anywhere I have ever been. The entire personel was cordial, gracious and eager to oblige. Valerie and Andrew of the hotel staff went above and beyond to personally ensure our comfort. I have never before written a review and only the exceptional service and beautiful accommodations have prompted me to do so. The rooms were beautifully furnished and pristine with amazing balcony views overlooking Fanueil Hall/The Market Place. If ever I am in Boston again, I will look no further then the Millennium Bostonian. This hotel experience only enhanced a wonderful trip to a wonderful city.

Walked in, no reservations on a Wed night. We were not planning to spend the night in Boston but were exhausted at 10pm after a long day of sightseeing and decided to get a room. We were a bit bedraggled from a long day of touring in 95* heat. We had no luggage and were carrying a bottle of wine not finished from dinner. We probably looked a little scary & rough but were politely escorted to the side door in an alley because of lobby construction. We were turned down immediately upon asking if a room was available. We were told they are busier on a weeknight than on the week-ends (huh?). The front desk clerk began listing hotels that had availability along with the prices of the rooms. When we said price was not an issue, he continued to quote prices. We politely thanked him and left, vowing to never try this hotel or any Millenium properties again. Checked their website the next day - rooms were available.

Hotel is under renovation and it is an absolute mess. It's noisy and the whole place is boarded up with plywood. I was horrified by the sight of the place -- I've seen many hotel remodels, this is definitely the worst. The front desk staff is rude - wow, the service was bad. When I expressed my dissatisfaction, one lady - tall w/ grey hair, had the nerve to laugh in my face. The only thing this hotel has going for it is location - do yourself a favor and stay somewhere comfortable with friendly staff who care about the customer experience. Millenium certainly doesn't -- I tried to call their Corporate Offices to tell them about my experience and they let all the calls go to a general voicemail box with no access to a live human.

Having read and reread all the reviews for the hotels in this area, I really wanted to stay in the hilton having stayed there before. I left if too late to book and so the only one I could get was this one (within my price range). On arrival I got a fright as the lobby was all under construction and I thought that I was in for a noisy time of it. Reception staff were fantastic, friendly polite and kind. As it was only 11am i asked could we store our luggage but instead they found a room that was ready would we be ok on the 7th floor?? Were we what!!!!! What a beautiful room and bathroom with a balcony overlooking the north end, newly done up with a huge plasma tv, huge room with two beds also, lots of clothes space and a little cranny to put our bags into so they wouldn't take up floor space. Will try and post some photos later. Our whole experience was fantastic and the staff were all brilliant. Will never stay in the hilton again. ma
