We stayed at the Omni Parker three nights in July, 2008. And I have no hesitation in saying that this was one of the worst room in any hotel we have stayed in throughout the world in nearly 50 years of travel. It's a bit of a cop-out to say the hotel is old therefore the rooms will be small. In our experience in Europe some of the oldest hotels have truly massive rooms. Not only are the rooms tiny but they are extremely badly planned; there is nowhere to put toiletries in the bathroom; there is only one chair in the room and it was like an assault course working your way from one side to tbe other. It is to be expected nowadays that rooms will include PC connections but the number of wires littering the floor was a real hazard. Add to this a bunch of bare wires from the air conditioning and it looked an accident waiting to happen. On the plus side the staff were friendly and helplful. We love Boston and we shall return - but not to the Omni Parker

I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights the weekend of July 11th & 12th. Location is really ideal--seems to be right in the middle of everything: shopping, dining, sightseeing, subway are all in very easy access. The hotel itself is pretty nice--historic and classic style, remodeled to its original appearance (I believe). Drinks in the bar were expensive but it's a cool place to hang out with the old leather and oak, 1920s/30s decor style. We didn't try the restaurant as there are lots of affordable dining options in the area (just head over to Faneuil Hall area)--Quincy Market. The room was really small (husband and I had a double) but nice: room was clean, bed was fine (nice linens and bedspread), all employees were really nice and helpful, and we did have a new wide screen tv. I asked the manager if he might have something bigger and he told me we were in one of the larger rooms--I hate to have been in a smaller room! But it's an old hotel so this was to be expected. I booked this hotel on hotwire (see the 4 star downtown) at the last minute for $125 + tax/night, which I felt like was a really good deal all things considered. The larger rooms (suites) might be worth the extra money but given the location, under $200 a night is probably pretty reasonable. I'd recommend staying here.

Just got back from a wonderful stay at the Omni Parker House. I am a very picky traveler who puts time into finding a quality hotel, so I was very relieved when I walked into our room. It was very cozy, clean, and smelled very fresh. Although the room was small, we really spent most of our time enjoying the beautifully historic city. EVRYTHING you need is right there. The location of this hotel is really ideal! Staff was accomodating and pleasant. Didn't try the food, although options on the menu sounded delicious. Room service was efficient and accomodating. I can't wait to visit again!

If you want to stay in the heart of Boston, with almost everything within walking distance then this is the hotel for you. Firstly, the taxi from the airport was $28 and back to the airport $18, so cheap and easy to get there. The hotel was clean, and the people who worked there friendly and helpful- I had both the consierge and porter help me with queries.
I stayed in an Economy room which, while small, was everything I needed for my stay (although the shower pressure could have been a little better). A full sized bed, small wardrobe, bathroom and TV, was everything I required. If you're used to larger hotel rooms, don't stay in the economy room, but for $100 a night, it was brilliant value!
I travelled on my own, and would highly recommend this hotel for lone travellers. I felt safe and secure staying there, and if I ever visit Boston again I won't hesistate to stay here.

The Omni Parker House was simply terrific overall. The location: convenient to everything and the food was first rate. We're a bunch of foodies, from NYC, no less, but I would return for a meal at the lounge, even if I was not a hotel guest. Best of all was the service. First, there was shampoo and toilet paper--don't laugh, a few weeks ago this was not the case when I stayed at the St. Anthony in San Antonio--and the housekeeping generally was impeccable. But we mainly appreciated the helpful and unfailingly friendly staff, from the concierge and the bellman to the restaurant staff. I was attending a conference, but my two boys and my husband were along to just hang out and pitch a frisbee in Boston Common and they dressed accordingly. The staff were just as solicitous in helping them enjoy their stay, which they did thoroughly. You can take away the Boston Cream Pie (though we wish that you wouldn't)--what really matters is the experience, and this hotel really made it for us.
