This Fairfield Inn is at the lower end of the Marriott standards. My expectations were more than what was delivered having been spoiled over the years by the Marriott brand. The hotel was very neat, clean and attractive. But for the money, I would have preferred a flat screen TV, an updated sink area and better flashing around the window, It was so poor that when it rained, the sounds of the outside water dripping on the sill all night was sleep interupting. The breakfast was marginal; not very enticing and my traveling companion felt that the front desk people were rude. If we go to the area again which is likely, we will not be repeat customers.

While there on business, we discovered that only a couple rooms had refrigerators. They brought in cheap coolers to use. We had 3 fire alams 2 days in a row, so far. This could change to more. The alarms were set off by a steam pipe which broke, and the alarms were at a very inconvient 1:30 a.m., around 3:00 a.m. and around 6:00 a.m.
Everyone had to evacuate as the alarm was extremely loud and brought pain to your ears. Of course the elevators did not work during this time, so elderly people had a hard time getting down from the fourth floor. The phones have been out of service.
After a couple days, they complained because they wanted to get into my room to clean. I had 2 beds to myself, and plenty of towels so I didn't see the urgency. I let them in to clean, and all they did was replenish the towels, toilet paper and change the sheets. They didn't clean anything.
The 3 good things: Comfortable beds, (if you actually get to sleep), good breakfast, (if you wake up on time after being up from alarms all night), and internet connection so you can send a bad review.
Also, there was a problem with the water for a couple days. You were told to run it for a couple min. to get the brown out.
