Overall this hotel was great. Great location and friendly staff. The only thing that could improve was the bed comfort. If you like a stiffer bed this should be no issue though. I did have a paranormal experience during my stay. The remote flew across the room and there were a few other unexplained things that happened as well. Nothing harmful but very freaky. I would recommend this hotel if you are looking for the best location in Salem, cleanliness, friendly staff and a paranormal experience.

The room was spacious and clean. The kids loved the pool and we all had a great, relaxing time before getting back to the school year routine.

We reserved three rooms for our large family; all of which were clean and well-appointed. Check-in and out was quick and the hotel was very accommodating in locating our rooms close together. The hotel is a very convenient walk to much of Salem, including Pickering Wharf, the Peabody-Essex Museum, the Salem Maritime National Park, and lots of great restaurants. It's also a great place to park your car.

We (myself, my mother and 2 small children) stayed in Salem 2 full days and 1 night. We mapped the directions from Boston on Google and had no problem finding the location. It was very accesible to all the sights and a Walgreens was just a few blocks away for the easy shopping for the kids. Great view over the water. Beds were very comfortable. Restaurant had good food. Staff and other guests were very friendly. When we checked in, the room we booked was not available due to overbooking. They did offer a same-sized room with smaller beds, view of the water and a comp breakfast. Bed size was not a problem since were travelling with small children. We would definately stay there again. The kids loved the pool area.

Well it's been about 16 years since my wife and I had visited Salem, and it's nice to see that the area has developed quite a bit since the last time we visited, but has not lost it's small town charm. Salem will always hold a special place in our hearts, it was the first place we traveled to before we were married,so we decided to go back as part of our 14th wedding anniversary. The hotel is a great new addition to the Salem landscape. The staff were all very friendly, even to us Yankee fans. The rooms were very clean and nicely appointed. The restaurant/pub on site was nice.We did not get a chance to use the pool, but it looked nice. The hotel is in a great location, next to Pickering Warf, and walking distance to all the shopping, restaurants, and local attractions.Salem is a great place for adults and children to visit, and the Salem Waterfront Hotel is a very nice place to stay when your in Salem.
